A tragic accident occurred on Sunday, at around 11 p.m., at the 1.4-kilometre mark of national road no. 30. Zgorzelec police:
According to the preliminary findings made by police officers under the supervision of a prosecutor and with the participation of an expert in the reconstruction of road accidents, a 52-year-old man driving a Volkswagen failed to give way at an intersection to the driver of an Audi, who was travelling on the road with priority. Unfortunately, as a result of the injuries sustained, the Volkswagen driver died at the scene.
Police and the prosecutor’s office are establishing the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. Officers: – We appeal to drivers to use common sense and behave responsibly on the road. Let us follow the rules of the road and remember that we are not alone on the road; sometimes a moment of inattention is enough to put ourselves and others at risk of losing life or health.
