The number of cars is growing, and parking spaces are becoming an increasingly serious problem. This can also be seen around the Bolesławiec military unit. During the unit’s working hours, Artyleryjska Street and the areas around its intersections with Andersa and Konopnickiej are filled with cars. At times, it is difficult to drive through there.
Especially when cars are parked on both sides of the road. This creates situations in which two cars cannot pass each other. Cars parked on pavements also make life difficult for pedestrians. Often, the required 1.5 metres is not left for pedestrians, making it difficult to get through with a pushchair.
The problem is the lack of parking lots and the constantly growing number of cars. Although the military opens parking areas whenever possible, there are still not enough spaces. The problem will probably continue to grow in connection with plans to transform the local regiment into a brigade. As the number of military positions increases, more people commuting to work and more cars will arrive...
Perhaps the problem of access along Artyleryjska Street and the lack of parking spaces can be resolved in cooperation with the city. City councillor Sylwester Łasocha has promised to deal with the matter. He is to submit an interpellation on the issue.
