The journalist received the honorary award from the President of Bolesławiec in March 2025, after previously running a campaign for Bolesławiec tap water with public funds. We wrote about the matter in the article Controversial honorary award for promoting the city. Was it deserved?
After our articles, he decided that he simply did not deserve the award. Receiving it for the paid campaign promoting Bolesławiec water, which he ran on his website, destroyed its prestige. Therefore, he decided to give it to Sonia Turzyniecka!
Sounds credible? Unfortunately, this is April Fools’ Day. Marcin Marczewski likes this honorary award from Piotr Roman far too much to give it away!
We wondered whether, in the world of fake news, humorously distorting reality to fool someone makes sense, and we decided that we could still do it in this form.
With reference to yesterday’s column, we congratulate Marcin Marczewski on taking part in the Warsaw Half Marathon. We are glad that he had sunny weather. That must compensate him for the fact that istotne.pl’s viewership is three times greater than bolecinfo’s, according to data from the independent website SimilarWeb. A summary of the annual viewership of both websites can be seen on bolecistotne.pl.
However, as colleagues, we must write that the journalist from Kraków who graduated from Jagiellonian University cannot write columns. A text about losing a court case cannot begin by describing how pleasant it was to run in the Warsaw Half Marathon. Hey Marcin, what did they give you that journalist’s diploma for? Were they afraid that if you did not receive it, you would write a “correction” about them? Since you correct bolecinfo’s low viewership every time the results appear on istotne.pl, have you turned the correction into a rag?
Marcin, you know that instead of four corrections of false information, you published only one. That is why you were sued. The court decided that one correction was sufficient. And that is the entire story about Krzysztof Gwizdała losing in court to the bolecinfo editorial team.
The case continued for almost two years in a court in Kraków and passed through all levels. Kraków judge Irena Żarnowska-Sporysz ruled that lies repeatedly published by the bolecinfo editorial team did not need to be corrected repeatedly; it was enough to do so only once.
Why do you call the correction in the column of March 31, 2025, Gwizdała’s “position”? And why is the correction currently unavailable on the website, even though it should be?
