Four married couples celebrating their golden wedding anniversaries were honored with the “Medals for Long Marital Life” – a prestigious distinction awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland.
The honorees were: Bożena and Andrzej Alfowie, Halina and Leszek Piaseccy, Krystyna and Jan Potoccy and Krystyna and Mieczysław Stachowowie. These extraordinary couples built not only lasting relationships over 50 years of shared life, but also beautiful stories filled with love and mutual support.
The ceremony began with warm greetings, a recollection of important moments from the honorees’ lives and the renewal of their marriage vows, before moving on to the most important moment – the presentation of the medals and certificates.
The ceremony was a special occasion. The distinguished honorees were decorated by Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Renata Szewczyk, who emphasized the importance of long-lasting marriages in today’s society.
The ceremony included moving memories and stories, which the couples gladly shared with the guests. Each couple had a unique story, full of joy, challenges and unforgettable moments. The honorees’ families, friends and acquaintances had an opportunity to share their reflections on love and friendship that had stood the test of time.
An important part of the ceremony was also a concert performed by young artists from the BOK-MCC studio, which put everyone in a joyful mood. The musical performances perfectly complemented the emotions accompanying the golden anniversary celebrations and provided an opportunity to celebrate together.
The event reminded everyone gathered of the importance of love, respect and devotion in married life. Fifty years of life together is not merely a number, but above all a wealth of shared experiences that leave indelible marks on the heart and in the memory.
