The 10th edition of the Lubimyczytać poll was held at the Book Fair in Poznań. The book “The Shelter Shrouded in Darkness” by Bolesławiec writer Sławomir Gortych won the title of “Crime Novel of the Year 2024”.

At the end of his thanks to his parents, siblings and friends, the writer from Bolesławiec, visibly moved and amid applause from the audience, expressed his wish to enter into marriage.

– I would like to thank one important person in my life, my partner Grześ, and I hope that the time will come when you will be my husband – said Sławomir Gortych.

In his speech, the writer emphasized the political aspect of his declaration.

– In a country where the president believes that I am not a human being, I feel all the more obliged to thank my partner Grześ – added the bestselling author.
