A ceremony connected with the farewell to the 1st Cavalry Division (1CD), which had been stationed in Bolesławiec recently, and the welcoming of a new rotation of American troops was held on the parade ground of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment.

The farewell ceremony for the 1st Cavalry Division was an emotional moment for many soldiers who, over the past few months, had the opportunity to cooperate with the Bolesławiec unit and local authorities. In turn, the arrival of the 1st Armored Division (1AD) marks the continuation of strong cooperation and support from the US armed forces.
