The Bolesławiec traffic police, as part of the operation called “Alcohol and Drugs,” checked drivers’ sobriety. Officers not only checked whether alcohol was present in the bodies of people driving vehicles; the checks also concerned driving under the influence of intoxicating substances.
Police patrols carried out 636 sobriety checks; 3 produced positive results.
The first person detained was a resident of Bolesławiec, who was tested for alcohol and drugs. The man was driving under the influence of amphetamine.
The two other positive results concerned residents of the Nowogrodziec municipality. An 18-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were driving vehicles with 0.3 per mille of alcohol in their systems, committing misdemeanors. All of them had their driving licences confiscated.
