On Monday, we wrote that in our town it will be possible to qualify as a veterinary technician. This educational offer has been prepared by the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych. In September this year, new fields of study will also be launched at the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych and the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych.
At the “electronics school,” two new fields will be opened: digital graphic processes technician and electrical technician. “The digital graphic processes technician course will enable students to learn about all issues related to broadly understood computer-aided design,” says Maciej Pronkiewicz, deputy head of ZSE. “The curriculum covers the following subjects: creating project compositions; designing and editing publications and printed materials; designing and developing websites; creating multimedia presentations; typesetting and preparing materials for printing; digital process technology; reproduction processes; and printing and media activities, among others.
At ZSOiZ, meanwhile, students will be able to qualify as advertising organization technicians and ceramic industry equipment operators (specialization: ceramic decoration). “Advertising organization technician is a profession that requires combining knowledge from fields such as economics, art, psychology and linguistics,” explains Laura Słocka-Przydróżna, head of the institution. “Acquiring these skills will enable our students, among other things, to independently create visual advertising materials and later work in advertising agencies or marketing departments.
“We try to keep up to date with research conducted by various institutions connected with the labor market and observe which professions are considered ‘professions of the future.’ Hence the directors’ decisions concerning, for example, advertising technicians and digital processing technicians,” Katarzyna Biegasiewicz-Mularczyk was told in an interview by Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Board of Bolesławiec County (the full interview can be found in the newspaper “Istotne Informacje,” issue 40). “We are responding to the findings of this research. We created part of the new offer so that our employers would have qualified specialists. But we are also offering professions that have already proven themselves.
