At the direction of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, four people suspected of possessing and supplying other people—for financial gain—with significant quantities of narcotic drugs and a psychotropic substance were arrested in Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County on February 18, 2025.

– Searches resulted in the discovery and seizure of 2,717.64 g of marijuana, a narcotic drug, and 376.5 g of methamphetamine, a psychotropic substance – says prosecutor Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra. – A 9 mm-caliber firearm and a magazine were also found in the possession of one of the suspects.

The suspects’ property was also seized, including cash, vehicles and other items with an estimated total value of approximately PLN 320,000.

After being brought before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the perpetrators were charged. One of the suspects will also face charges for possessing a firearm and ammunition without the required permit.

Spokesperson:

The offenses alleged against the perpetrators carry prison sentences ranging from 1 to 10 years and from 6 months to 8 years, respectively, in the case of the offense involving illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Three suspects were placed under non-custodial preventive measures: bail in amounts ranging from PLN 5,000 to PLN 20,000, police supervision and a ban on leaving the country.

At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the court remanded one of the suspects in temporary custody for three months.

The arrests resulted from a joint investigation by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec and the local County Police Headquarters.

Investigators:

Several dozen officers from the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and the Drug Crime Division of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław took part in the operation, supported by the Independent Counter-Terrorist Police Subunit of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

The suspects are three men aged between 35 and 52 from Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County, as well as a 27-year-old woman living in Bolesławiec.

The case is developing. Further arrests of people involved in this practice are planned.
