Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu – the heart of the winter world
The modern cross-country skiing centre DCS Polana Jakuszycka has been providing comfortable conditions for preparation and rest for skiers for more than two years. It is here, on the trails prepared by the organisers of Bieg Piastów, that competitors and amateurs can enjoy excellent conditions for practising sport. We support this event by providing modern facilities, professional changing rooms, a ski service and a comfortable rest area.
A celebration of long-distance races at the highest level
Bieg Piastów is an international event and part of the prestigious Worldloppet Ski Federation league – an elite series of cross-country ski races. To be included, competitions must meet rigorous organisational and technical standards, which is possible thanks to the careful work of the Bieg Piastów organisers and the excellent infrastructure of Polana Jakuszycka.
This year, competitors will face distances ranging from 6 to 50 km. Among them will be, among others, the Queen of Polish Skis – Justyna Kowalczyk-Tekieli, who will start in the 50 km race. Current Polish representative Andżelika Szyszka will also compete for the top places, as will the men's favourite, Jelenia Góra native Michał Skowron. The races over 25, 30 and 50 km will be particularly significant, as they are included in the Worldloppet standings, further emphasising the prestige of the competition.
Sport for everyone – Bieg Piastów is open to all!
Bieg Piastów is not only about competing among the best. It is also an event where everyone – regardless of their level of experience – can find something for themselves. The programme includes family races, distances for amateurs and events dedicated to the youngest participants, including the Preschoolers’ Race and the Cubs’ Expedition. There will also be an EXPO zone, equipment testing and attractions for the whole family.
Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu supports the organisers in providing excellent infrastructure and comfort for competitors and spectators. Thanks to its modern amenities, Polana Jakuszycka has become a place where tradition meets modernity.
