The meeting is chaired by the Lower Silesian Voivode Anna Żabska, and among the guests are, among others, the Mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman and the Bolesławiec County Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak.

During the meeting, the Bolesławiec County Starost presented a detailed overview of the flood situation in Bolesławiec County and the reconstruction strategy in the face of the crisis. In addition to local leaders, representatives of the Bolesławiec Municipality and Lwówek Śląski shared their experience and ideas for the future.

Meeting participants also had the opportunity to attend a presentation on the use of GIS tools in crisis management during a flood, as well as in estimating post-flood losses. The technological solutions presented may significantly improve the process of monitoring the situation and coordinating activities in the face of a disaster.

The next items on today’s agenda concern the activities of the Regional Water Management Authority in Wrocław in the areas of Bolesławiec, Lwówek, Lubań and Zgorzelec counties, as well as flood protection issues in the city of Bolesławiec.
