On 21 February 2025, acting on the instructions of the District Prosecutor in Jelenia Góra, officers of the local Municipal Police Headquarters arrested a 19-year-old resident of Karkonosze County suspected of possessing and distributing a significant quantity of medicines containing psychotropic substances. – A search of the residential premises he occupied revealed and secured 150 such tablets – prosecutor Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the Jelenia Góra Regional Prosecutor’s Office, points out.
She adds: – The proceedings also established that between 1 October 2024 and 12 January 2025, acting for financial gain, the perpetrator supplied other people with at least 30 different tablets containing between 2 mg and 80 mg of a psychotropic substance. He received between PLN 20 and PLN 60 from buyers for one tablet.
After being brought before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, the suspect was charged with possessing a significant quantity of medicines containing psychotropic substances and distributing them for payment. Such an offence is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The teenager did not admit to the alleged offences and gave an explanation. At the prosecutor’s request, the court remanded the suspect in custody for three months.
The man had not previously been convicted by a court.
