As reported by the General Inspectorate of Road Transport:

Lifor Sp. z o.o. will supply and install 70 new speed cameras. TraffiStar SR390 devices will be installed along national roads in places where dangerous road incidents caused by excessive speed occur.

It adds:

The locations for the new speed cameras were selected in cooperation with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, which manages traffic on national roads, and the Police. These are places where, due to a real threat to safety caused by excessive speed, it was necessary to install devices for automatic enforcement. When selecting the locations, potential sources of danger and factors increasing the likelihood of an accident were verified. Above all, the number and type of road incidents and the number of victims, broken down into fatalities and injuries, were taken into account, as well as the presence of facilities such as pedestrian crossings, cycle paths and public-use sites generating heavier traffic.

The greatest number of new speed cameras will be installed in Greater Poland—11 in total. In Lower Silesia, there will be 10.

  • Krępice: On national road number 94, level with the KFC restaurant.
  • Zgorzelec: On national road number 30, next to an Orlen fuel station, opposite Galeria Słowiańska.
  • Świdnica: At the level of the district court.
  • Łagów: On national road number 30, toward the Solidarności roundabout.
  • Mazurowice: At the intersection of national road number 94 and Kolejowa Street.
  • Gniewomirowice: On national road number 94.
  • Mirosławice: At the intersection of national road number 35 and the road toward Rogów Sobócki.
  • Strzelce: On national road number 35.
  • Gać: On national road number 94, level with the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
  • Wojcieszyce: At the intersection of national road number 3 and Malinowa Street.

When?

The Lower Silesian outlet adds that the devices are to be installed by June 30, 2026.

The installation cost of one TraffiStar SR390 speed camera is nearly PLN 240,000. The value of the contracts concluded for the supply and installation of all 70 devices is PLN 16,789,500.
