Lwówecka traffic police stopped a 45-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County for inspection on February 16 in the town of Ubocze. In a built-up area, he was driving at a speed of as much as 109 km/h.
The officers explain:
This means that he exceeded the permitted limit by more than 50 km/h, which resulted in the immediate retention of his driving licence.
They add:
In accordance with the applicable regulations, the driver was fined PLN 3,000 and received 13 penalty points. The police emphasize that, particularly in the current road conditions—with snowfall and slippery surfaces—excessive speed can lead to fatal accidents.
They conclude: “We appeal to all drivers to exercise caution and adjust their speed to the road conditions. Let us remember that a moment of recklessness can cost health, life and serious legal consequences.”
