On February 6, 2025, Bolesławiec City Hall accepted the completed works related to the implementation of the “Street Lighting Modernization” project, carried out by ENLED PROJEKT from Mińsk Mazowiecki. Municipal officials: – This important undertaking forms part of a broader commitment to protecting the environment and improving residents’ quality of life.
The works included replacing as many as 355 inefficient lighting fixtures with modern LED technology fixtures – with power ratings from 20 to 60 W, adapted for power reduction.
Where is it safer?
New lighting has been installed on numerous streets and in courtyards across Bolesławiec, including: Modrzewiowa, Jemiołowa, Czerwonych Maków, Sadowa, Astrów, Gdańska, Jeleniogórska (national road 297), Łasicka, Zygmunta Augusta, Podgórna, Jeleniogórska (marketplace), M. Opitza, Obrońców Helu, A. Mickiewicza, Polna, Hutnicza, Konstytucji 3 Maja, S. Małachowskiego, Graniczna, Ekonomiczna, W. Wróblewskiego, 10 Marca, K. Marcinkowskiego, Karola Miarki, I. Łukasiewicza, Bielska, Bankowa, Ogrodowa, Polna, Śluzowa (Municipal Cemetery), Parkowa, Partyzantów, 1 Maja, Magistracka, Szkolna, Braci Śniadeckich, Grunwaldzka, Teatralna, Sądowa, I. Daszyńskiego, A. Mickiewicza, Głowackiego, Kościelna, M. Kutuzowa, Bankowa (park by the pond), Kubika.
The City Hall adds: – The LED technology used in the new lighting is characterized by low energy consumption compared with traditional light sources. This means not only lower electricity bills, but also longer lamp lifespans, significantly reducing the costs of maintaining and servicing the lighting. In addition, studies show that appropriate street lighting reduces the number of accidents at night by as much as 30%, which is extremely important for residents’ safety.
The total value of the investment was PLN 870,061.41, of which PLN 456,000.00 came from a grant and the remaining PLN 414,061.41 from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
