The incident occurred on January 30. This is how a reader

described the situation to us:

(...) at around 4 p.m., an incident took place at Galeria City Center Bolesławiec at 1 Asnyka Street.

The man was aggressive (...), lunging at everyone and hitting a boy. A woman from one of the shopping centre’s stationary stores shouted “SECURITY”, but none of the Galeria’s security employees came out onto the passageway, so she asked a security employee from level -1 for help.

The Biedronka security guard tried to apprehend and restrain the perpetrator, but the man broke free and fled. Acting alone, the Biedronka guard could not do much against the agitated attacker, while the Galeria’s security staff did not even come out to assist their colleague in apprehending and detaining the aggressor.

We asked the police about the incident. Officers established that:

(...) a man was causing a disturbance in the shopping centre. Teenagers wanted to calm him down, and one of the boys was pushed.

The parent was informed about the possibility of filing a report.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured.
