On Monday, 27 January this year, from the early morning hours, Lower Silesian traffic police officers conducted intensive checks as part of the “Safe A4 Motorway” operation. – The main aim of these activities was to ensure the highest possible level of safety for all road users – explains Commissioner Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – During the operation, particular attention was paid to compliance with speed limits, the correct execution of overtaking manoeuvres and other key aspects of road safety. Police officers also responded to behaviour such as stopping vehicles in prohibited places, inadequate vehicle marking, using mobile phones while driving and failing to wear seat belts. The checks also covered the proper transport of loads and pedestrians’ improper use of roads.

Patrol cars equipped with video recorders and specialist officers responsible for road transport inspections were involved in the operation. The spokesperson said: – Once again, the police drone proved its effectiveness by recording drivers’ offences from above. As a result of the operation, officers not only detected more than 230 road-traffic violations, but also seized 31 registration certificates.

Police officers appeal to all road users to comply strictly with regulations and look out for one another’s safety:

Let us remember that only shared responsibility will make our roads safer for everyone.
