The incident occurred on January 20. Nowogrodziec Municipal Police:
(…) the Nowogrodziec Municipal Police received a report from a resident about a suffering fox tangled in wire in the village of Czerna.
They added: – After arriving at the scene and confirming the report, we called a veterinarian, who anesthetized the animal, and together we freed it from the trap.
The mammal was placed in the care of a veterinarian.
Unfortunately, on the veterinarian’s decision, the fox – due to the injuries it had sustained – had to be euthanized.
