A reader wrote to us:
(…) are you publicizing the case? Yesterday (January 16 – ed. note: istotne.pl), a guy from Osiecznica was arrested for detaining, beating and humiliating a girl. Apparently, everything has been reported to the police. People from those areas are afraid that if he is released, he will do something again.
We asked the Bolesławiec police about the case. The police said:
The 27-year-old from the Osiecznica municipality, arrested during an intervention, was brought before the prosecutor’s office and charged with unlawful deprivation of liberty, threats, insult and violation of bodily integrity. The prosecutor placed him under supervision and imposed a ban on approaching or contacting the victim.
The young man could face up to five years in prison.
