The Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment with the District Court in Jelenia Góra against a 65-year-old resident of Małopolska, accusing him of transporting and carrying out an intra-Community supply from the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Poland of a significant quantity of a psychotropic substance in the form of cocaine.
– The investigation established that on 5 November 2022, at the Żarska Wieś Motorway Service Area on the A4 motorway, officers of the Criminal Division of the Rzeszów Voivodeship Police Headquarters stopped a Mercedes E300 passenger car for inspection. The accused was driving the vehicle – prosecutor Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokeswoman for the Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office, reports. – During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a compartment concealed in the car’s sill. Inside were rectangular packages wrapped in tape, containing a white, compressed substance with a total weight of 1,230.80 grams.
An expert determined that it was cocaine: 9,970 saleable doses.

Zbigniew S., questioned as a suspect, did not admit to committing the alleged offense and refused to provide explanations. For the alleged offense, classified under Article 55(1) and (3) of the Act of 25 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction, he faces a sentence of between 3 and 15 years in prison.
The Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor secured the accused’s assets to a total value of PLN 50,000.
The suspect, Zbigniew S., had already been convicted by the courts multiple times, including for drug offenses. He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence imposed by the District Court in Kraków.
