The incident occurred on December 30. – That evening, two colleagues met, as had happened many times before, since they had known each other for years – explains junior assistant inspector Bartosz Łopatka, acting press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice.
He adds: – However, during the conversation, a verbal altercation broke out between them, during which one of them attacked his acquaintance with a knife. As a result of a single stab, the 29-year-old injured the man so seriously that the victim had to be transported to hospital.
The suspect has already been charged, and the court in Lubin decided to remand him in pre-trial detention for three months.

Polkowice investigators are now handling the case as causing serious bodily harm by the man. Activities are currently underway to reconstruct the course of events precisely. The evidence collected so far made it possible to charge the suspect and remand him in custody. Under the legal classification adopted for the act, the man faces between 3 and 20 years in prison.
