Officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 33-year-old man suspected of possessing significant quantities of narcotic substances and illegally possessing firearms and ammunition.

During their activities, police officers obtained information that the 33-year-old might possess drugs and firearms in his apartment. As a result of the actions taken, officers seized marijuana and hashish at his place of residence, from which approximately 340 retail doses could be produced. In addition, they seized firearms and ammunition for which the man did not have the required permit.

During the intervention, it also emerged that a woman staying in the apartment was wanted by the District Court to serve a 10-month prison sentence.

Police officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail, investigating the source of the seized drugs and determining whether the man was involved in their distribution.

The Jelenia Góra resident was detained in police custody. He will now face the court for the crimes committed and could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
