We received a report from a Reader along with a video showing a man pulling out a bollard, then hurling it as if it were a javelin, and subsequently striking the rubbish containers with the same bollard:
(…) my neighbours and I are already losing patience with this individual. This guy (...) is terrorizing the entire housing estate and his parents; outside the last entrance, he does whatever he wants.
On 18 November, the man allegedly assaulted a homeless person. The reporting party added: – The police either lock him up and release him, or drive past, perhaps take a look, get out of the car and give him a warning.
He also added: – The guy, as you can see in the video, does whatever he wants… Just imagine a child walking home from the shop?!! It will end with him killing someone, or us neighbours carrying out vigilante justice!
We asked the Bolesławiec police about the matter. – On 18 November, we received a report from Jana Pawła II Street, but there was no one at the indicated location – says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
She adds:
Since the beginning of November, reports from Jana Pawła II Street have concerned various problems, including improper parking, a shop theft and a person staying in a stairwell.
She also stresses:
If a witness to an incident has video footage proving a violation of the law, they should provide it to officers so that the situation can be clarified.
In any dangerous situation, call the emergency number 112.
