Bolesławiec traffic police have detained three drivers since the beginning of December who were driving cars under the influence of alcohol. Meanwhile, officers from Nowogrodziec detained an intoxicated cyclist.

Our police headquarters explains:

Two of the vehicle drivers had more than half a per mille of alcohol in their breath, which means they were intoxicated and, by getting behind the wheel, committed a crime punishable by up to three years in prison. The third passenger-car driver was under the influence of alcohol and will be held accountable for a misdemeanour.

The cyclist had the most alcohol in his system—nearly 1 per mille. Police: “Riding a two-wheeled vehicle while intoxicated is punishable by a PLN 2,500 fine.”
