The November session of the city council is under way. President Piotr Roman reported, among other things, on the situation following the September flood and benefits for people affected by the flood in the city.

He also announced that the city would apply to the Lower Silesian Voivode for funds for tasks related to removing the effects of the flood. One such task is the construction of a new footbridge (a bridge for pedestrians) over the Bóbr. The project has been estimated at PLN 20 million.

Applying for funding is possible thanks to the recently signed flood law, which allows cities and municipalities affected by a state of natural disaster to apply for money to remove the effects of flooding.
