– Last weekend, at around 9:20 p.m., the duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Złotoryja received information about a county resident who planned to take his own life – reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The caller’s account indicated that the situation could be very serious and that every second counted. The duty officer urgently dispatched district officers from the Police Station in Świerzawa. Paramedics from the Emergency Medical Service also arrived.

The police officers were first to arrive at the scene. The spokesperson said: – After entering the apartment, they noticed a man who was unconscious and in a life-threatening situation. They arrived at the last moment, when seconds determined whether the 37-year-old would survive. They immediately began rescue operations.

Thanks to the officers’ swift and decisive response, the man regained consciousness; moreover, the district officers continued monitoring his vital signs until the ambulance arrived. After being examined by paramedics, the man was taken to hospital, where he received specialist medical assistance.
