As reported by the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Zgorzelec:
Two units from JRG Zgorzelec, OSP KSRG Trójca and SGRT Bolesławiec were dispatched for the rescue operation. Additionally, due to the nature of the incident, the Deputy District Commander of KP PSP in Zgorzelec and the Operations Officer were also dispatched to the scene.
After the first units arrived at the scene and conducted an assessment, it was established that only the driver had been travelling in the vehicle.
The rescuers secured the scene, stabilised the vehicle, gained access to the injured person so that ZRM rescuers could assess their condition, and then evacuated them.
The Medical Rescue Team transported the injured person to hospital. During the rescue operation, the Police directed traffic.
Unfortunately, the driver’s life could not be saved. The 60-year-old man died in hospital. The information about his death was released on Sunday evening.
