Fire Service on the Fire in the Sports Hall in Bolesławiec. What Caused It?

Let us recall that the incident occurred on Friday evening, November 1, in the sports hall building at the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych on Komuny Paryskiej Street in Bolesławiec. Three fire service units, including one with a ladder, and the police were at the scene. To enter the hall, firefighters had to break the glass in the entrance door.

Initial information indicated that a battery in one of the devices located in the building may have caught fire. Thanks to the firefighters’ swift response, the fire did not spread. No one was injured in the incident.

A cordless drill caught fire in the sports hall. The fire was extinguished with a dry-powder extinguisher. The building was cleared of smoke and ventilated using smoke-extraction fans, then handed over to the facility manager.
