Preliminary findings indicate that, for undetermined reasons, a 44-year-old motorcyclist collided head-on with a VW vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man.

The motorcyclist was injured and taken to hospital. Both participants in the incident were sober. Police are currently investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident.

Officers appeal to two-wheeled vehicle riders:

In connection with road incidents involving motorcyclists, police urge everyone to exercise particular caution and obey traffic regulations. Motorcyclists, remember to adjust your speed to the conditions on the road and anticipate dangerous situations—even a moment of inattention can lead to tragic consequences.

Motorcyclist, remember that public roads are not racetracks! Think about other drivers. Follow traffic rules: do not exceed the speed limit; do not force the right of way; exercise limited trust toward other drivers; and wear reflective clothing to make yourself more visible on the road.

Mutual respect on the road and responsibility can significantly improve safety and reduce the number of accidents.
