As reported by Gmina Bolesławiec:
Dear residents of flood-affected areas—those affected by this year’s flood!
Due to the approaching end of the state of natural disaster in our municipality, the final collection of flood waste under the mobile public collection system will take place this Saturday (12 October 2024).
Officials add:
Therefore, we ask residents affected by the flood to put out furniture and equipment damaged by the flood no later than Saturday (12 October 2024) and notify the Municipal Office by telephone at: 75 732 32 21, extension 121 no later than Friday (11 October 2024), so that we can prepare the appropriate resources for this operation.
And they emphasize: – This applies exclusively to properties affected by this year’s flood in the following locations: Kraszowice, Nowa, Ocice (Kolonia Śliszów), Bolesławice (around the Community Center), Krępnica, Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka, Parkoszów, Trzebień Mały, Trzebień (Polna, Mostowa and Parkowa streets), Stara Oleszna. Waste from properties not listed as affected will not be collected under this system and must be transported independently to the Łąka PSZOK. We ask for your understanding—the swift clearing of affected residents’ properties in advance of the approaching winter is our shared priority.
They also add:
Collection of construction rubble from flood-affected areas will be arranged individually after prior telephone contact using the above-mentioned office number.
And they reassure residents:
Ending the collection in the manner described above does not mean that affected people will be left without assistance after that date. The state of natural disaster made it possible to apply special procedures and preferential rules for the collection and management of flood waste, as well as to involve uniformed services in removing the effects of the flood. After that date, affected people will still be able to report the need for flood-waste collection, but the method and form of storing and collecting the waste will be agreed individually.
