Friday, 14 January, was a very busy day for TOP Bolesławiec basketball players. The team competing in the Zgorzelec league played two postponed matches. Their opponents were, respectively, Skinny Puppes and the previously undefeated Trzy Kropki team.
The match against Skinny Puppies began according to TOP's plans, but at halftime the Bolesławiec players had only a one-point lead. However, TOP played very well in the next two quarters and ultimately comfortably defeated their opponents by twelve points.
The next opponent for the Bolesławiec team was Trzy Kropki, undefeated in this edition of the Zgorzelec league. TOP did lose the first quarter by 3 points, but in the next three they left the favourites with no illusions and won by a surprisingly large margin of 86:73.
Thanks to these two victories, our basketball players will enter the play-offs in third place, and their form means that the knockout stage promises to be extremely interesting.
TOP – Skinny Puppies 73:61 (23:17, 10:15, 20:13, 20:16)
TOP – Trzy Kropki 86:73 (16:19, 24:20, 27:24, 19:10).
