The organization used the motto “Today-Tomorrow-The Day After Tomorrow.” “Today” referred to underground activities, “Tomorrow” to armed struggle against the occupying forces, and “The Day After Tomorrow” to activities in an already independent Poland.
The scouts of the Szare Szeregi were responsible, among other things, for rescuing civilians, maintaining communications between units, reconnaissance and intelligence operations, as well as participating in the underground struggle and conducting propaganda among the Polish population.
The Bolesławiec commemorations took place on Saturday, September 28, in front of the “Fighting Poland” anchor on Kubika Street.
