Mrs Oksana was born on 23 September 1924 in Dziewięcin (now: the Republic of Srpska).
Gromadka Municipality:
To mark this beautiful anniversary, a Holy Mass was held in the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Różyniec. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Jan Trznadel – parish priest of the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul in Osła. The Mass was attended by the head of Gromadka Municipality, Ryszard Kawka, and the deputy head of the Civil Registry Office, Ewa Potyszka.
More about the celebrant
Mrs Oksana came to Poland with her husband, Antoni, and their eldest son, Sławomir, in 1946. (The family settled in Różyniec.) The woman gave birth to and raised eight children. The municipality: “There was no equipment at that time to make everyday household tasks easier. The children helped their mother a great deal – Mrs Oksana speaks of this with pride. Our celebrant is a grandmother to eleven grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. She is surrounded by the love she taught through her life.
And she adds: – All family members agree that the celebrant is a person full of warmth, love and determination.
