In connection with the Bolesławiec County Governor lifting the flood alarm in the Bolesławiec County area on September 21, we are currently taking action to organize the areas affected by the flooding.
Officials add:
In response to numerous questions concerning the cleanup and disposal of sandbags, we inform you that we are beginning the systematic cleanup of the area. Where clean bags are located near particular properties – residents may dispose of them at their own discretion or wait for the appropriate services to arrive. As for bags that have come into contact with water – they must absolutely be left for disposal.
And they conclude:
We count on your understanding – the scale of the damage and needs is enormous compared with our capabilities. Where there is no direct threat to life or health, resources will be deployed later – some residents affected by the flood are still fighting to save their belongings.
