As reported by the Wrocław branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, on Wednesday, 25 September repairs to the concrete slabs on the A4 motorway will begin, between the Krzyżowa and Krzywa interchanges. Road workers: “The works will be carried out in four stages. The total duration of the traffic obstructions on the motorway will not exceed 15 days.
They add:
The first stage of the works will begin on the Krzyżowa–Krzywa section (at km 53), while the second stage is planned from Friday, 27 September (at km 61). From Monday, 30 September, the contractor plans to begin repairs near the Wądroże Wielkie interchange. All three stages of the works will take place on the carriageway toward Wrocław. The fourth stage is scheduled to begin on Friday, 4 October, when the contractor will return to the Krzyżowa–Krzywa section (at km 52), but in this case the works will take place on the carriageway toward Zgorzelec.
They further explain: “The stages of the works will overlap. The dates given above are only estimates and may change depending on the work technology or weather conditions.”
What does this mean for drivers?
Road manager: “During the works, there will be obstructions in the form of a speed limit of 60 km/h, and one traffic lane, where the works will be carried out, will be closed. We appeal for caution!”
