The incident occurred during the night of January 10–11. Police officers from Nowogrodziec received information that two men were walking in the middle of the road. Moreover, one of the pedestrians was throwing stones at vehicles that were stopping. The patrol immediately went to the scene.

When he saw the uniformed officers, the vandal threw the stone he was holding onto the ground and began to flee. The officers quickly apprehended the suspect. He turned out to be a 23-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality. The man damaged four trucks. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 8,000.

The police also detained the second pedestrian. At the time of their detention, both men were drunk. Their blood alcohol levels ranged from 1.5 to 3 per mille.

The 23-year-old now faces up to 5 years in prison, while his companion will be held responsible for causing a road-traffic safety hazard.
