The Raj Pstrąga facility in Stronie Śląskie, which received an award this year, is only a three-hour drive from Bolesławiec. It is worth making the journey to taste the best fish in the area: sturgeon. The Raj Pstrąga fish ponds are probably the oldest fish-farming facilities in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, together with a restaurant serving dishes based on fish from its own farm.

Wańczykówka, honored for its Old Wańczyk cheese, is located in the Kamienne Mountains, with a beautiful view of Śnieżka. Old Wańczyk is a mature cow’s-milk cheese made with bacterial cultures intended for Old Amsterdam-style cheeses. It has a distinctive, slightly spicy aroma and a very creamy texture.

Magia Lawendy, honored for its “Raspberry and Blackberry Spread with a Hint of Lavender,” is located in Brzezia Łąka, east of Wrocław. “Spelt Pasta” from Gospodarstwo Rolne Majda can be bought in Kaszyce Wielkie directly from the producer.

What is the sweet product that won the award: “Korowol, Korowaj”? Korowaj is a wedding bread, a round cake decorated by hand. A wreath of leaves is arranged around the cake. In the center of the korowaj there is a chalice of happiness or a rose. Symmetrically arranged are little roses, pinecones, ducklings with ribbons, and leaves.
