The prosecutor’s office is investigating whether, on August 28, staff at one of the kindergartens in Lubin exposed a four-year-old to the immediate danger of losing his life or suffering serious injury. The boy swallowed an undetermined number of psychoactive pills. He then fainted and subsequently suffered a collapse.
– “It was established that the boy found a blister pack of pills while playing in the green areas adjacent to the kindergarten. He swallowed an undetermined number of them. The staff did not notice this” – reports Liliana Łukasiewicz, press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legnica. – “When the boy’s mother picked him up from kindergarten after 4 p.m., he was staggering, had slurred speech and could not be reached through logical conversation.”
An ambulance was called. The boy was taken to the hospital in Lubin. As it was difficult to determine what was wrong with him, he was transferred to the intensive care unit at a hospital in Wrocław.
The spokesperson: – “It was only around 7 p.m. that information was obtained from the kindergarten that the child might have taken medication found in the playground and that the medication was psychoactive.”
