On Monday, shortly after 8:00 a.m., a Daewoo Matiz was stolen in Chojnów. – The car owner noticed that a man was driving away in his car, so he immediately called the police – reports Comm. Jagoda Ekiert, press officer of the Legnica City Police Headquarters. – The duty officer informed patrols throughout the county about the theft.
A short while later, traffic police officers spotted the stolen Matiz in Legnica. Spokeswoman: – The officers immediately stopped the vehicle. While checking the man’s identity, the officers detected a strong smell of alcohol. It turned out that the 35-year-old was intoxicated, and a breathalyzer test showed nearly one per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.
The man was arrested and placed in police custody. Yesterday, he was charged. He will now face the court for his actions. Police:
