Once again, scammers are trying to obtain our data, including online banking details, using fake text messages. Over the past few days, thousands of people have received on their phones an SMS about an unsuccessful attempt to deliver a parcel.

The message contains a fictitious parcel number and a website address where, supposedly, a new delivery address for the parcel can be entered.

Once again, we warn you not to click on suspicious links or provide any data. This is usually an attempt to obtain information fraudulently, which may result in scammers taking over a bank account and stealing money.

As reported by komputerswiat.pl:

CERT Polska reported that users reported more than 2,000 fake messages about postal shipments last weekend alone. It is safe to say that the reach was much greater, because unfortunately most people do not report such content. It is worth doing so, because in this way we can protect, for example, loved ones who are unable to recognize whether a message is fake, from an attack.
