The incident took place on Wednesday, September 4, in the afternoon. Firefighters from Nowa Kuźnia were dispatched to a downed medium-voltage power line and a grass fire alongside the line in their locality.
The firefighters said: – Our task was to secure the area and prevent bystanders from entering, as they could have been electrocuted, until the power emergency service arrived.
And they appeal: – Warning!!! Do not approach downed power lines; always assume that they are live.
Firefighters from Nowa Kuźnia and Gromadka took part in the operation.
