– On Saturday, 31 August this year, a police officer from the Investigative Team of the Lwówek Śląski police station, travelling on his day off, was driving along the A4 motorway. While exiting near Legnickie Pole, he noticed a vehicle that had earlier cut him off and was subsequently moving erratically, failing to keep to its lane – reports junior aspirant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. – When the vehicle was stopped, the police officer immediately ran up to the passenger car, a VW, and prevented the driver, who smelled of alcohol, from continuing to drive.

The patrol called to the scene from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica confirmed the officer’s suspicions. After being tested with a breathalyser, the 43-year-old VW driver was found to have 3 promille of alcohol in his system.
