We described the problem with rats in the blocks on Bielska Street in Bolesławiec in the article: Rats in the blocks. People have had enough and are asking for intervention.

We also informed Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa Bolesławianka, the property manager, about the problem and asked for a comment. We received a comment the following day, Thursday, August 22.

Here is the housing cooperative’s response:

In response to the question concerning rats at the properties at 6–9 and 10–13 Bielska Street, Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa “Bolesławianka” informs:

This property, like others, has been reported incidentally as a problem in previous years. In accordance with the requirements, the cooperative carries out rat control in all its buildings twice a year: in spring and autumn—this year in March, with another treatment planned for October. In the current situation, immediately after the information appeared, administration employees inspected the buildings, establishing the actual condition of the stairwells and basements. A decision was made to urgently carry out additional, ad hoc rat control.

Yours sincerely,

Roman Jaworski – Deputy President for Technical Affairs
