The collision occurred when the Audi driver pulled out from the road leading to a nearby tenement building and attempted to join traffic on DK 30. At that time, the BMW driver was turning off DK 30 toward a petrol station.
As it turned out, both the Audi driver and the BMW driver were responsible for the incident.
The Audi driver did not position herself on the right side of the exit, while the BMW driver, unaware that there was also an exit from another road there, cut the corner. This led to a head-on collision between the vehicles. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Difficult driving conditions have prevailed on roads throughout the region since morning. Continuous rainfall is making driving more difficult, and drivers should adjust their speed to the conditions on the road.
