The rescue operation began after 8:00 p.m. at a gravel pit near Bolesławiec, close to the Mrówka general construction store. Firefighters are searching for the boy from the shore and from a boat. However, the boy is believed to have disappeared earlier, at around 6:00 p.m.
We unofficially learned that the boy being sought is 16–17 years old. His family, including his mother and brother, is at the scene.
The following are involved in the operation: JRG Bolesławiec, the Specialist Water and Diving Group and Sonar Group from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Legnica, the Volunteer Fire Service in Trzebień, and the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
