City center blocked, 24 people evacuated. TWO people detained

The police are still not providing details of the case. It is known, however, that two people were detained: a woman and a man.

At the scene, we spoke with residents of nearby tenement buildings, who said that the couple had occupied a rented apartment for two months. They attracted attention; their BMW 7 Series and distinctive lifestyle said enough about them that today (July 18 – ed. istotne.pl) it was no surprise that they were the people involved. According to residents, today's police search was most likely the result of their highly “expressive” relationship, specifically yesterday's argument.

– He was calm, while she was somewhat hyperactive. Yesterday she ran around in an emotional state and kept changing clothes. She apparently changed her entire wardrobe. Today, when they detained her, she spat at and insulted the police officers – we were told at the scene.

The case is being handled by KWP Wrocław and KPP Lubań. At the prosecutor's request, the officers are not providing details. Activities are ongoing. It is known, however, that a person suspected of drug trafficking has been detained.

During a search of the apartment occupied by the suspect, a pyrotechnic mixture was found. For now, however, it is not known exactly what it is. Pyrotechnicians are examining it.

More than 20 people were evacuated.

The incident occurred on July 18. We learned unofficially that explosive materials had been found in one of the apartments in the center of Nowogrodziec. The emergency services operation is ongoing.

The Market Square and the area around Kościelna Street are blocked.
