Bolesławiec at the top of Polish athletics! The success of MKS Bolesłavia takes on even greater significance when we look at the official medal standings from the competition. Our club from Bolesławiec not only defeated teams from major cities, but decisively dominated the entire competition.

Here is the detailed list:

  1. MKS Bolesłavia Bolesławiec: 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal,
  2. AML Słupsk: 3 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals,
  3. KS Stal LA Ostrów Wielkopolski: 2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals.

What is more, we finished ahead of such powerhouses as:

  • RLTL GGG Radom (2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals),
  • SL Olimpia Poznań (2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals),
  • AZS-AWF Gorzów (2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals),
  • KS AZS AWF Warszawa (2 gold and 2 silver medals).

This remarkable achievement shows that with the right commitment, hard work and talent, even clubs from smaller communities can successfully compete with and defeat the country's biggest sporting powerhouses. This success is a source of pride not only for our club, but also for all of Bolesławiec, proving that great dreams can come true regardless of a city's size.

Gold medals and records

Our athletes dominated the running events, winning as many as three gold medals:

  • Jakub Foremny became a double Polish champion, triumphing in the 100 m with a phenomenal time of 10.66 s and in the 200 m with an impressive result of 21.66 s,
  • Stanisław Strzelecki won gold in the 400 m, crossing the finish line in 47.26 s.

Silver successes

Our female athletes also reached the podium, winning two silver medals:

  • Vanessa Michaluk became the Polish runner-up in the 100 m hurdles, recording a time of 13.66 s. She also finished fifth in the 100 m with a result of 12.20 s,
  • Eliza Psiuch won the Polish silver medal in the high jump, setting a new personal best of 170 cm.

Bronze medal for the team

Our athletes showed that they can work together excellently, winning a bronze medal in the 4×400 m mixed relay. The team consisted of: Jakub Foremny, Stanisław Strzelecki, Vanessa Michaluk and Emilia Burmas.

Qualification for the U-18 European Championships

We are delighted to announce that three of our athletes: Jakub Foremny, Stanisław Strzelecki and Vanessa Michaluk, have qualified for the U-18 European Championships, which will be held in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, from 18–21 July. This is a tremendous distinction and an opportunity for further success on the international stage!

Other results

It is worth mentioning other excellent performances by our athletes:

  • Diana Majewska finished fifth in the discus throw, setting a new personal best of 37.09 m,
  • Emilia Burmas finished 13th in the 400 m hurdles with a time of 66.80 s,
  • Julia Halewicz finished 14th in the javelin throw (33.62 m),
  • Michał Bonk finished 19th in the hammer throw (45.84 m),
  • Emilia Hoszowska finished 20th in the hammer throw (43.84 m),
  • Mateusz Kupczak finished 20th in the shot put (12.94 m),
  • Piotr Tutak finished 23rd in the javelin throw (43.02 m),
  • Michał Psiuch, despite setting a personal best of 50 m, did not record a valid distance.

Huge applause is also due to our coaches: Małgorzata Markowska, Paweł Wiśniewski and Tomasz Markowski, whose hard work and commitment contributed to this wonderful success.

We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our athletes. Their effort, determination and fighting spirit resulted not only in excellent individual performances, but also helped MKS Bolesłavia secure first place in the medal standings at the Polish Championships. It is a historic success that motivates us to continue working and developing, proving that Bolesławiec can be a true forge of athletics talent.
