The incident occurred on June 20, before 3:00 p.m., on a section of road under renovation between Platerówka and Radzimów. The eluban.pl service reported:
The rider most likely lost control of the motorcycle on the potholed road while attempting to overtake a car traveling ahead of him. The woman driving the Toyota, who drove over the motorcycle sliding along the road, did not see the moment when the rider fell.
The report adds: – The woman turned sharply to the right, which enabled her to avoid the rider, although she drove over the motorcycle. After most likely losing control of the two-wheeler, the man deliberately laid it down on the road and thereby avoided a direct collision with the car.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital. Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident. The Lubań-based outlet concludes:
There will surely be questions to answer, because the motorcycle had no ignition switch, and checking its registration plates with the Insurance Guarantee Fund produced no results, which may indicate that the motorcycle was uninsured.
