Holidays are the perfect time to develop your passions and gain new skills for which there was no time during the school year. Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre invites all enthusiasts of the arts and active leisure to unique holiday activities that will help them discover hidden talents and develop artistic sensitivity.

Registration will be available at the Tourist and Cultural Information Point from Friday, 14 June (1c Piłsudskiego Square), during the ceramics shop’s opening hours. Places are limited.

1.
“My Butterflies” – activities in the ceramics and sculpture studio intended for children and young people aged 9 and over. Under the guidance of experienced instructor Edyta Orlińska, participants will have the opportunity to learn the secrets of creating mosaics. During the activities, they will design and make a ceramic mosaic. The holiday workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn a new technique and discover the magic of working with clay.

Decorating Ready-Made Ceramic Forms intended for children and young people aged 9 and over. During the workshop, participants will learn the secrets of decorating ready-made ceramic blanks. They will design and create a decoration on bisque. The activities will be led by experienced instructor Edyta Orlińska.

“The Nocturnal World of Animals” – general art activities intended for children aged 6–10. We will create works using various art and office materials. We will peer into the depths of the sea, visit rabbits’ burrows, and perhaps set off on a nighttime expedition into the forest. We will see what our imagination suggests!

General art activities intended for children aged 6–8. Summer is a time for games and play. Children have plenty of free time, while parents look for ideas on how to fill it. That is why we offer art activities during the holidays. Participants will make handicrafts using various techniques, from paper cut-outs to yarn weaving. The instructor of this studio is Olena Razgonova.

“Lantern on a Stick” using the papier-mâché technique – that is, chewed paper. The activities are intended for children aged 9–17. Step by step, we will learn the secrets of the art of paper, which has been known for nearly 2,000 years. Participants will design and make a lantern that will be a beautiful decoration for a room or terrace. The activities will be led by instructor Agnieszka Byszkowska.

6.
“Holiday Drum Solo” in the oriental dance studio intended for children and young people aged 9–16. During the activities, participants will learn basic steps in choreography created by instructor Idalia Kowara-Schmidt. The workshop is a great opportunity to develop body flexibility and express yourself through dance.

Activities in the stage dance studio intended for children and young people aged 7 and over. Activities in the beginner group are an excellent opportunity to become familiar with stage dance, which combines a modern warm-up with classical elements and the development of foot, arm and back movement. Under the guidance of instructor Anastasia Romanchenko, children will gain the choreographic foundations needed for public performances, participation in competitions and music festivals.

8.
Small Sculpture in Papier-Mâché activities are intended for children and young people aged 9–17. Under the guidance of instructor Agnieszka Byszkowska, workshop participants will design and make a bas-relief and experiment with form, paper and colour. The decoration they create will be a beautiful ornament for a room and a gift for someone close to them.

Graphic Techniques activities are intended for children and young people aged 7–17 on the occasion of the 30th BŚC. Participants will discover the fascinating world of printmaking and create works using monotype, fabric printing and stamps, under the guidance of experienced instructor Magdalena Konieczna.

“On Friendly Terms with Art” art activities with painting elements intended for children aged 6–10. Participants will learn the principles of combining primary and secondary colours, find out how to hold a brush correctly and learn the proper posture at an easel. Small works of art inspired by the paintings of Polish artists will be created. The activities will be led by instructor Agnieszka Byszkowska.

Activities in the HIP-HOP dance studio intended for children and young people aged 6 and over. Activities in the beginner group are an excellent opportunity to test their abilities and skills. Under the guidance of experienced instructor Katarzyna Tomczyk-Jakubowska, participants will practise various dance routines. Activities in this studio will teach you the basic steps, rhythm and styles of this popular street dance.
