Modernization of the municipal stadium in Bolesławiec began in spring 2023. As part of the modernization, a natural-grass pitch with a playing area measuring 64x100 m will be built. In addition to lighting, there will also be an irrigation system. The pitch will also include technical installations for hosting athletics competitions. Professional football goals will be installed behind the goal lines. The goals will be dismantled during athletics competitions. The pitch will be equipped with stadium shelters for substitute players and a shelter for referees.
The complex will include, among other things: a warm-up shot-put circle; a warm-up track with a long-jump and triple-jump pit; and mobile stadium shelters for the substitute players of both teams. The next stage of the investment includes the construction of stands. The covered stands will be located on the side of Spółdzielcza Street. They will accommodate approximately 900 people.
Work on the first stage of the investment is expected to last 18 months. The municipal stadium will be a so-called universal stadium, adapted for and meeting the requirements for hosting athletics competitions under the auspices of the Polish Athletics Association, as well as third-tier football matches.
Completion of the first stage of the investment is planned for autumn this year.
As for matches at the new stadium, we learned unofficially that they will probably be possible to play in 2025.
